Invited by Khun Toy of Human Help Network Thailand Foundation, 75 orphaned and deaf from the Pattaya Orphanage join a lovely evening organized at the Child Protection and Development Center (CPDC) in Huay Yai, Pattaya, on the eve of the U.S. Independence Day 2011. Highlight of the occasion is the free concert by the III Marine Expeditionary Force Band, which is specialized in American Top 40 Jazz and Rock music. As co-sponsor, the Defense Attaché Office of the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok is pleased to introduce the US Marine Band from Okinawa, Japan while it is on tour around Thailand this week to further strengthen the ties between Thailand and USA. Rev. Fr. Michael Phangrak, our executive director, is invited to preside over the formal opening of the event. น้อง ๆ เด็กกำพร้าและเด็กที่มีความบกพร่องทางการได้ยิน จำนวน 75 คน เดินทางพร้อมคุณครูและผู้ดูแลอีกกว่า 20 ชีวิต ไปชมการแสดงคอนเสิร์ตของวงดุริยางค์ทหารเรืออเมริกัน ซึ่งประจำการอยู่ ณ เมืองโอกินาวา ประเทศญี่ปุ่น ในวันก่อนวันชาติสหรัฐอเมริกา ปี 2554 งานนี้คุณต๋อย ผู้อำนวยการมูลนิธิ เอช เอช เอ็น เพื่อเด็กไทย ร่วมกับสำนักงานผู้ช่วยทูตฝ่ายทหาร ประจำสถานเอกอัครราชทูตสหรัฐอเมริกาประจำประเทศไทย จัดขึ้นในบรรยากาศที่ผ่อนคลายและเป็นกันเอง ณ ศูนย์คุ้มครองสวัสดิภาพและพัฒนาเด็ก หรือ ซีพีดีซี พัทยา โดยบาทหลวงวีระ ผังรักษ์ ผู้อำนวยการบริหารของมูลนิธิสงเคราะห์เด็ก พัทยา ได้รับเชิญเป็นประธานในพิธีเปิดงาน นอกจากจะอิ่มเอมกับอาหารและเครื่องดื่มที่มีบริการฟรีตลอดงานแล้ว เด็ก ๆ และแขกผู้มีเกียรติในงานมีความสุขกับเสียงเพลงที่ศิลปินชุดพิเศษนี้นำมาแบ่งปันให้ทุกคนอย่างเต็มที่ เป็นมิตรภาพอันสวยงามระหว่างชนชาวไทยและอเมริกัน ที่ได้รับการกระชับให้แน่นแฟ้นยิ่งขึ้นไปอีกในงานนี้ ขอขอบพระคุณผู้มีอุปการคุณทุกท่านครับ/ค่ะ
