The much delayed hydroponic growing system project, supported by St. Ursula’s College, Kingsgrove, Sydney, Australia, was completed in February in the garden of the Pattaya Orphanage.. Teacher Tiew and her charges were enthusiastic in growing the vegetables again in the strong structure. They continued to learn the techniques of growing and caring for the veggies.. After five weeks during which children took turn to check the water, nutrient solutions, etc., the team harvested fresh and crispy Green Oak, Red Oak, and Green Butterhead for the kitchen to cook for all. A portion was set aside for sale at 40 Baht/pack of three. The fund will help them continue with the all-year-round plantation.. Our grateful thanks to all concerned..
