Personal Savings

School-age children at the Pattaya Orphanage are constantly encouraged to save small notes and loose change from their daily pocket money. Then during their mid-year break, they count the accumulated monies and their teachers help them deposit their personal savings in the bank.  Thanks too, to sponsors and visitors who help our children build their futures..

64 Birthday Celebrants

During the school break, while mourning His Majesty the Late King, a simple but beautiful party was organised at the Pattaya Orphanage to celebrate the anniversaries of 64 birthday girls and boys in our home.. Those unable to join, especially a few kids whose mid-year vacation would begin later, would receive their presents as soon as they are back at home.. Grateful thanks to all the benefactors for the different contributions to the event..

Fire Drill Training 2017

Fifty-five members of the Pattaya Orphanage took part in the 2017 Fire Drill Training with theoretical and practical sessions provided by resource persons from the Engineering and Damage Control Training Division, Fleet Training Command at the Sattahip Royal Thai Navy Base.. The training was focused on the cause and types of fire; how to prevent damage and loss; safety precautions; and self-help and mutual assistance in case of fire. Prayers for All

The month of October is here again, and even though most members of the Pattaya Orphanage are not Christians, they gathered to pray to Mary, Our Lady of the Holy Rosary, for her protection of and blessings to all our benefactors and members of our home. Rev. Fr. Michael Weera Phangrak led a liturgy on the first of October, which will be followed by the nightly gathering throughout this special month.

Swan Eggs

Children at the Pattaya Orphanage are now relaxing for four weeks during their mid-year break. Teacher Koong keeps her charge occupied with interesting activities. This time, the kids want to prepare a Thai dessert called “Swan Eggs” so they searched the internet, got the ingredients and utensils with the help of their teacher, and successfully made the delicious sweet..

Chairman Maurice Dimmock and CEO Lee Hammond of the Accreditation Service for International Schools, Colleges & Universities (ASIC), United Kingdom, marked the company’s 10th anniversary by holding ASIC Conference 2017 on 20-21 September 2017, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Director Angkana Kamnoedthon of Sotpattana School for the Deaf, Thailand, was among the 160 participants, and received the International Education Award for the School’s Outstanding Contribution to Special Needs Education. This recognition was the third one following the two certificates of accreditation presented by ASIC for 2012-2016, and as a “Premier Institution” for 2016-2020..

After months of making artificial daffodils with loving memory and great respect of His Majesty the late King Bhumibol, members of the Pattaya Orphanage offered the handmade sandalwood flowers to the local authority as our participation in the upcoming Royal Cremation Ceremony of our beloved monarch in October.
